Hi Mike,

We are looking forward to our rendevous at Grandma's. I am happy you have become an advocate for the program, even prior to your returning. I would love to hear your ideas, as well!

By the way, everybody, Grandma's is where the students eat on weekdays; it apparently has a more official name, but the endearing woman who hosts the students is beloved enough by them to outshadow the restaurant's real name. And, contrary to my original screel, Grandma's serves Thai food. : )

Hi Krista,

Thanks for asking! Actually, the cuisine here admits to a broad spectrum of food. They have a ton of chicken, pork, beef, and vegetarian dishes. The only surprise is that they generally do not have tofu. The ingredients here are marvelously fresh, and the chefs have the cuisine *down*! So, I have been OK.

All the Best,
Tim

Fr. Linnane and Dr. Snyder,

It looks like you two really have your work cut out for you here. Can't wait to talk over at Grandma's about your vision for this program in the future. I figure it's only necessessary to grill you two. Hey, I'm almost BKK alum, I need to watch out that this program is getting the best treatment. Look forward to talking to the both of you!

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Dr. Snyder,

Thanks for the humorous epic tales from Thailand. I had a question from your post on the 24th. Do you have other options of things to eat in Thailand besides seafood? I would think because of the geography of the country, most of the main dishes would have some from of aquatic life in them. I hope you have other options for acquiring protein in you diet while you are away.

Maybe you could try peanuts?
